This policy explains what data ClipKnight handles, and what we deliberately do not collect.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for, and do not want, your X account, password, or any other credentials. We never see which posts you download and we do not keep a history of your downloads.
We do not build a profile of you from your downloads.
What is processed
When you paste a link, the link is processed in memory so we can look up the post and return its media. We do not write the link to disk for this purpose.
A short-lived cache of resolved links is kept so that repeating the same request is fast. It expires automatically within a few hours and is not linked to you.
Advertising and cookies
We and our advertising partners may set cookies to deliver and measure ads. If we introduce advertising, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking them does not stop you using the downloader.
Server logs
Our servers keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP address and request time, for a limited period so we can keep the service secure and debug faults. These logs are not used to build a profile of you.
Your choices
Because we do not hold personal accounts, there is generally no personal data for us to correct or delete. If you believe we hold something relating to you, contact us and we will look into it.
